After a few tentative baby steps in different configurations, the band came together as a trio in the balmy
spring of 2004. An informal party for real estate agents at the Iowa City Yacht Club provided the pretext. Tom Miller brokered
the opportunity and came up with the inspired band name and the logo. Dave Bonham's foot encased in an intriguingly ungainly
cast at the time, was the source of inspiration. The performance was a success, despite the short notice that allowed
for only one rehearsal. The band (Dave Bonham on guitars and vocals, March Tomus on bass and vocals and Tom Miller on drums)
performed rock classics from the 70's and 80's, and the audience's positive response encouraged us to continue. The big foot
was coming down fast and hard.
After a few rehearsals, the band established their stomping grounds in the Iowa City area. The city itself offered
few opportunities for a cover classic rock band, so the following gigs were performed in the surrounding area: Coralville,
North Liberty, Solon, Ely, Cedar Rapids... until Ken joined us as a permanent vocalist and drummer-teaser, freeing the other
band members to worry about bigger and better things, such as playing their instruments and setting up and tearing down their
bulky equipment.
Marked by a perpetual sense of growth and restlessness, especially when it comes to getting paid, the band performs
almost every weekend in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area. If you'd like to see us play, we'd love to have you there...
